Ten Ulster boys given nod for New York trip

-

ULSTER supplies more than half of the Irish U21 squad heading to New York later this week to take in six games.

Ten of the 18 players are from the province as they prepare to face Japan, Argentina and hosts USA twice each over a hectic eight-day period.

The U21s haven’t had much action over the past few years but this trip is a chance to show just what they can do.

The Ulster 10 are James Milliken, Mark McNellis, Ryan Getty, Scott McCabe (Lisnagarvey); Luke Roleston, Luke Witherow (Banbridge); Matthew Crookshanks, Adam McAllister, Callum Robson (Annadale) and David Rae (Kilkeel).

Ulster trio Max Taylor (Wallace High), Matthew Aughey (Friends) and Troy Chambers (Wallace High) are in the Irish U16 squad going to Dusseldorf for games against Austria, Germany and the Netherlands.
