Ten Ul­ster boys given nod for New York trip

UL­STER sup­plies more than half of the Ir­ish U21 squad head­ing to New York later this week to take in six games.

Ten of the 18 play­ers are from the province as they pre­pare to face Ja­pan, Ar­gentina and hosts USA twice each over a hec­tic eight-day pe­riod.

The U21s haven’t had much ac­tion over the past few years but this trip is a chance to show just what they can do.

The Ul­ster 10 are James Mil­liken, Mark McNel­lis, Ryan Getty, Scott McCabe (Lis­na­gar­vey); Luke Role­ston, Luke Witherow (Ban­bridge); Matthew Crook­shanks, Adam McAl­lis­ter, Callum Rob­son (An­nadale) and David Rae (Kil­keel).

Ul­ster trio Max Tay­lor (Wal­lace High), Matthew Aughey (Friends) and Troy Cham­bers (Wal­lace High) are in the Ir­ish U16 squad go­ing to Dus­sel­dorf for games against Aus­tria, Ger­many and the Nether­lands.
