ITV calls up Dowie and O’Neill to its World Cup panel

TWO for­mer North­ern Ire­land play­ers are among ITV’s pun­dits for this sum­mer’s World Cup.

Martin O’Neill and Iain Dowie will be in Rus­sia to cover the tour­na­ment which kicks off on June 14.

Both the BBC and ITV have named their line-ups over the last 48 hours.

ITV’s panel in­cludes O’Neill, Gary Neville and reg­u­lar pun­dits Ryan Giggs, Roy Keane, Ian Wright and Lee Dixon.

For­mer striker Dowie will be a co-com­men­ta­tor.

The BBC line-up in­cludes for­mer Eng­land trio Alan Shearer, Frank Lam­pard and Rio Fer­di­nand, plus Ger­man World Cup win­ner Jur­gen Klins­mann and ex-Chelsea striker Didier Drogba.
