Prince celebrates creative talent in visit to Wales
GAME of Thrones star Owen Teale has confessed he was wrong to leave his native Wales to follow his dream of becoming an actor, as the Prince of Wales celebrated Welsh creative talent.
Teale said the Welsh capital Cardiff is now the “destination” after being impressed by Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama students who performed for their patron Charles.
The prince had arrived at Cardiff Central station by steam locomotive and was treated to a 70th birthday concert by budding musicians, actors and some former students. The invited audience enjoyed recitals of Chopin and Bach, Shakespeare soliloquies and orchestral and choir performances of popular tunes, as well as the madcap sketches. Teale described the production as “fantastic”.
