Have-a-go he­roes foil bur­glary

TWO men were ar­rested after neigh­bours dis­turbed sus­pected bur­glars at a house in Co Ty­rone.

One was found by a po­lice dog as he at­tempted to hide.

The break-in oc­curred at St Mary’s Road in Omagh on Satur­day evening.

At around 5.30pm it was re­ported that neigh­bours had dis­turbed three males after they had been ob­served en­ter­ing a house.

One man was de­tained a short dis­tance away by lo­cal peo­ple and ar­rested by po­lice.

The sec­ond man was ar­rested a short time later after he had been found hid­ing by the po­lice dog.

The two sus­pects are aged 23 and 36.

A sil­ver Lexus car, VRM TEZ 8777, used by the sus­pects was also seized.

De­tec­tives are ap­peal­ing to any­one with any in­for­ma­tion on the in­ci­dent or who ob­served the sil­ver Lexus car re­cently to con­tact them on 101, quot­ing ref­er­ence 775 12/01/19.
