Terminations policy has damaged the UUP

-

STEVE Aiken, the new leader of the UUP, does not want to back any DUP attempt to overturn the new Northern Ireland abortion law (News, November 20).

Mr Aiken describes abortion as “a matter of conscience” for UUP members. He sounds unclear, as yet, on Northern Ireland abortion time-limits and conditions of access.

One might have anticipated clear leadership from a former submarine commander.

Mr Aiken would surely have been much more decisive if a decision on firing nuclear missiles had been required, or would that have been a matter of conscience for the submarine crew “A show-of-hands vote is 80 for Moscow vs 50 for St Petersburg”?

The UUP abortion policy sounds completely confused, or non-existent.

Christians with concern about abortion should vote for Arlene Foster and her DUP team.

Labour MP Stella Creasy’s attack on Arlene Foster is described at the end of the report. Those trying to legitimise the murder of unborn Northern Ireland children recognise their prime defenders: Arlene Foster and the DUP.

Christians should register to vote and support the DUP.
