DUP paved the way for disastrous Brexit deal

THE present Boris deal is a disaster for all of Northern Ireland.

The DUP, in October, accepted regularity alignment with the EU. That is exactly what the DUP has got from Boris Johnson: we in Northern Ireland will be staying in the EU under EU laws and under the European Court of Justice, while GB is leaving the EU.

Sir Alan Winters, director of the UK Trade Policy Observatory, has prepared an analysis in which he concludes that a total of 75% of all goods entering Northern Ireland from GB could be subject to EU tariffs.

As a consequence, food prices for all in Northern Ireland, both unionist and nationalist, will rocket. This is entirely the fault of Mrs Foster and her DUP.

As a unionist, I will be voting for the UUP.
