Mike had been doing some calculations in the car. “See that car ahead, Dad,” he said. “If you move the last three digits of our number and put them in front of the other two, you get their number.”

“You’re right,” Tom replied.

“Sure.” Mike smiled. “But there’s something else. That number is just one less than half ours.”
