Andrew & Fergie’s new home

-

They’re described as the “happiest divorced couple in the world”, and Prince Andrew and Sarah “Fergie” Ferguson could be maintaining their unmarried bliss, with plans to move in together to a new London home.

The disgraced royal is said to be moving into his ex-wife’s £5million mews house in London’s Belgravia, following King Charles’ reported plans to evict his brother from his Royal Lodge home in April. Fergie, 63, bought the property as a “long-term investment” for their daughters Beatrice, 34, and Eugenie, 32, and had it refurbished. “It has been finished to a really high standard,” an insider revealed. “It’s a far cry from the mansion on the Windsor estate, but this is their only London property.”

The couple, who divorced in 1996, currently live together at a 30-room mansion at Royal Lodge, but could soon be forced out by the new monarch, who’s allegedly planning to cut Andrew’s annual £249k grant next month in a move to tighten the royal purse strings. This would leave Andrew, 63, unable to pay for the property’s upkeep. “It feels as though his brother wishes to evict him,” a royal source said. “Andrew and Sarah are distraught they have been given such short notice.” There are also rumours that the couple could move into Harry and Meghan’s old home, Frogmore Cottage.

Sarah, who moved into Royal Lodge in 2008, hinted at “new beginnings” in a recent post. She previously said she felt like a “guest” in the palatial home. “When I’m in the UK, I’m lucky enough to stay at Royal Lodge,” she revealed.
