The Royal Foresters reopens
A reception in the evening sunshine for 450 investors, guests and neighbours of The Royal Foresters in Ascot marked the re-opening of the pub by Oakman Inns after three years. When it closed many local residents feared that not only had their favourite watering spot disappeared, but that the site might be redeveloped.
Now it features a cosy fully restored original bar with two log fires, while the restaurant has an open theatre-style kitchen where guests can watch Head Chef, Lee McMullen, and his brigade create both traditional British and Mediterraneaninspired dishes with a focus on fresh and seasonal ingredients.
Outside, guests can relax over a wide range of drinks (including craft beers from the Windsor & Eton Brewery) in the beer garden and terrace.
