ROCKIN’ RELICS IN READING

Berkshire Life - - This Month -

What do you most value about Reading today? How would you depict it as a relic? That’s the challenge set our local artists and makers who are busy creating modern day reliquaries for a fabulous installation at the Reading Minster that will be shown alongside ‘Reading between the Lines’ new play, Henry II in October

The exhibition will be on display inside the stunning setting of Reading Minster, St Mary the Virgin Church, for three weeks, from Monday, October 8 to Saturday,

October 27.

But what will they chose as a relic? Will it be the last drop of beer from Courage Brewery, or a piece of the stage from Reading Festival or the key to Oscar Wilde’s cell? You’ll have to go along and see for yourself what the artists have invented.
