Did you know that Wind­sor Farm Shop stocks meat reared on their very own Royal Farms? The shop opened its doors to the pub­lic on 11th Novem­ber 2001, sell­ing ev­ery­thing from Royal beef to lo­cally brewed ales.

The Royal Es­tate at Wind­sor op­er­ates as a mixed farm. This in­cludes 200 pedi­gree Jer­sey milk­ing cows, a pedi­gree Sus­sex beef herd, 140 breed­ing sows, 1,500 Lohmann Brown hens, 1,000 acres of arable land and 2,000 acres of grass­land mainly used to feed live­stock. They’ve been pro­vid­ing the meat for the shop ever since open­ing with meat reared on the Crown Es­tate and pri­vate Home Park. All their beef, lamb and pork have been nat­u­rally fed and are trace­able to the farms where they have been reared.

Per­fect wrapped in ba­con on Christ­mas Day, the shop’s own sausages are made from the Royal Farms pork − great for lunch, or even bet­ter form­ing part of Boxing Day’s hearty break­fast. wind­sor­farmshop.co.uk
