Is Susanna leaving Piers?

GMB star Susanna Reid is branching into prime-time telly, leaving her sidekick Piers Morgan behind…

Good Morning Britain co-hosts Susanna Reid, 46, and Piers Morgan, 51, have always been a formidable double act.

But Susanna is set to spread her wings ( leaving Piers behind) as she begins her first prime-time TV hosting spot – with another man!

Susanna’s new on-screen ‘ husband’ is laid-back chef Matt Tebbutt, who will be joining her to co-present a new eight-part series, Save Money: Good Food, coming soon to ITV.

It will see Susanna and Matt, 43, offer top tips on how to save on your food shop without compromising on quality or taste. Spending time with a different family each week, they’ll rustle up family meals for under £5.

Single mother-of-three Susanna (she has sons Sam, 14, Finn, 12, and Jack, 11, with her ex, Dominic Cotton) has said, ‘Matt is a great cook, and I’m delighted to be working with him,’ while the celeb chef has confessed he can’t wait to ‘get creative’ with Susanna.

So will the pretty brunette be indulging in the same line of flirty banter with Matt she famously enjoys with Piers?

If she does, it will, of course, be harmless, as Matt is happily married to ‘real Welsh Valleys girl’ Lisa. And Susanna recently maintained, ‘I’m not dating, and right now it feels like absolutely the right thing to be single and independent.’ But could introducing a new on-screen hubby be enough to ruffle Piers’s feathers?

The former Britain’s Got Talent judge has never hidden the soft spot he has for his Croydon-born co-host, once describing her as ‘probably the most eligible female in the country’, and we imagine he’ll watch the new show closely.

Viewers swooned over Matt last year during his guest appearances on BBC One’s Saturday Kitchen. One excited fan tweeted, ‘ Well impressed with @matt_tebbutt on #saturdaykitchen this morning! Fab presenter and easy on the eye too.’

Indeed he is. But don’t be jealous, Piers – you know Susanna always comes back to you in the morning…
