Gemma blasted a liar and a cheat!
Could the rolypoly cast member of TOWIE, Gemma Collins, really be altering her own images in a bid to look slimmer?
She’s struggled with her weight since she first appeared on The Only Way Is Essex in 2011, but when Gemma Collins showed off her new ‘slimmed down’ frame on Instagram last week, she was blasted as a ‘liar’ by fans!
Shown behind the scenes of the show’s St Patrick’s Day episode, followers accused the larger-than-life blonde of digitally editing the image.
While some of her 322,000 followers took the pics at face value, some eagle eyes noticed something a little odd. The tiles on the floor of the picture were skewed – which fans took as a sure sign that the photo had been altered.
And they didn’t hold back from blasting the 36-year-old.
‘Look at the curved floor tiles… edited! So fake!’ said one. ‘The wobbly floor! Why lie to people about losing weight? Sad,’ added another.
Gemma responded to her doubters on Twitter, saying, ‘It’s all about the more favourable angle, girls, years of paps throwing themselves on the floor to get that lowest possible angle #angle,’ So, no photoshopping then, Gem?
The picture of her in the green lace top from her fashion collection was the second she’d shared that day. Earlier, she posted a picture of her in a coral top and skinny jeans.
Constantly yo-yoing between a size 22 and a size 14, Gemma dropped 2st before Christmas by ditching booze.
‘It’s all about moderation,’ she said. ‘I used to polish off 15 brandies, now I drink vodka and soda with fresh lime. And I’m not having bacon in the morning any more – I have watermelon and halloumi.’
The TOWIE star says she will never be skinny, but has admitted she would like to be smaller for health reasons.
‘I’m a size 20 now, and if I was a 14 or 16, I feel it’s something I could do,’ she explained in December.
She recently ditched sugar as part of reality TV show Sugar Free Farm. When she arrived at the house, she said, ‘The amount of money I spend on takeaways, I could probably buy a house by now.’
After discovering she’d dropped a huge 11lb, Gemma exclaimed, ‘Oh, my God. We have not stopped eating here. Can we stay longer?’
Since then, the Essex girl has been flaunting her slimmed-down figure on social media for weeks.
Only time will tell if the larger-than-life star has truly shed the pounds – but remember, Gem, the hard work is keeping it off…
