Remember the comedy-drama set around a slimming club, penned by Kay Mellor, and starring James Corden and Ruth Jones? Well, it has now been turned into a brand-new musical, also written by Kay. A starry cast includes Elaine Smith, Kevin Kennedy, Natasha Hamilton, Freddie Flintoff, Sam Bailey and Jodie Prenger. Kay says, ‘Putting on a musical is completely new to me, but I love it. It’s going to be visually stunning, with larger-than-life characters and songs.’ We can’t wait!
