Why Scarlett Moffatt can’t stop smiling!

Jungle queen Scarlett Moffatt tells us why this has been her best year ever…

- WORDS: KELLY ALLEN

What a difference 12 months can make. Scarlett Moffatt has gone from sitting on the sofa commenting on I’m A Celebrity… to winning the show and seeing her fame skyrocket. And her adventure Down Under is far from over, as she’s landed the amazing job of hosting the I’m A Celebrity... spin-off show Extra Camp – with Joe Swash and Joel Dommett.

The former Gogglebox star said, ‘For me, it’s like full circle, because I went from watching it to people watching me, my mum and dad viewing it, then going in, and now this! This time last year, I was still in my nine-to-five job, so this is just bizarre. I’m so excited!’

Since being crowned Queen of the Jungle, the 27-year-old has released a fitness DVD, landed the role of roving reporter at the National TV Awards, presented the revamped version of Streetmate and even become Ant and Dec’s right-hand woman on their hit show Saturday Night Takeaway.

She explained, ‘Ant and Dec are just amazing. Everyone always says you should never meet your heroes but that’s a lie because they’re even nicer than you could imagine. They really care, and all through SNT they were like my mentors. I felt so privileged to have them.’

And newly single Scarlett has now got the celebrity must-have – a set of gleaming veneers.

‘I have got new teeth. I’m so excited!’ she confessed. ‘ When I was 11, I smashed my teeth in a bike accident. I’ve had caps, crowns and all sorts on my teeth since then. I love smiling, but I’ve never felt confident with my smile.

‘So when I got offered the chance to get my teeth done, I was like, “Oh, my God!” So I’m going to be smiling a lot more now.’ l I’m A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! returns to ITV on Sunday 19 November
