Harry – born to be a dad
It doesn’t take a genius to work out that Prince Harry’s going to make the best dad ever…
As heart-warming images of Harry and his pregnant wife, Meghan, appeared from their first joint 16-day overseas tour of Australia, Fiji, Tonga and New Zealand, it’s clear that the royal couple, where kids are concerned, are naturals.
You just know Harry, 34, will be in his element when his baby makes an appearance next spring, but will it be a boy or a girl? At an Invictus Games cycling event, in Sydney, a female fan called out to him, ‘I hope it’s a girl!’ to which Harry replied, ‘So do I!’
He admitted three years ago, ‘I will always have the kid inside me. I’m obsessed with children. I don’t know if they like me, but you know they are great fun.’
The feeling appears to be mutual, Harry…
When Harry and Meghan visited Buninyong Public School, in Dubbo, Australia, one of its pupils, five-year-old Luke Vincent, who has Down syndrome, managed to get past security to give both royals a cuddle, before becoming fixated with rubbing Harry’s beard. Talk about stealing the limelight! The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were clearly delighted to meet Dasha, six, and Findlay, four – getting down to their level to say hi during their visit to Sydney’s Taronga Zoo, where they officially opened the new Taronga Institute of Science and Learning. This gorgeous little girl was one of three children who waited patiently outside the Sydney Opera House to see the royal couple and present them with flowers. From the look on Harry’s face as he crouched down for a chat, this little girl stole our prince’s heart, too. Meeting farming family, the Woodleys, in Dubbo, to discuss the drought problems they’ve encountered, the duke and duchess seemed a tad distracted by the extreme cuteness of the youngest member of the family, Ruby Carroll. We don’t blame them!
