The model has had a fantastic start to the New Year. She was made a dame for her services to fashion, the arts and charity in the Queen’s Honours List! The 69-year-old – real name Lesley Lawson, née Hornby – became the face of the 60s when she was just a teenager. ‘I’m very honoured,’ she said. ‘I’m a very proud Brit. I feel like I’m an ambassador for Britain, because I think it’s the best country in the world.’
