Coleen Nolan: ‘Don’t write me off!’
It’s fair to say, 2018 wasn’t Coleen Nolan’s year – but she’s finally getting her groove back

star Coleen Nolan previously admitted that her 50th milestone had kick-started the worst decade of her life, claiming, ‘I’ve hated it. Since 51, 52, 53, I’ve just not enjoyed it.’
Moreover, it’s been well documented that the 53-yearold has endured a testing 12 months, especially after the breakdown of her 11-year marriage. The mum-of-three announced in February last year that she was splitting from her ex-husband, Ray Fensome, after ‘fighting with every fibre of her being’ to make it work.
And as if that wasn’t enough to deal with, Coleen then took a three-month hiatus from television in September and scrapped her singing tour, after she was branded a ‘ bully’ following a fiery on-screen spat with her former CBB housemate, Kim Woodburn.
However, with 2019 now underway – Coleen has decided to put the past behind her, adding, ‘The bad times led to Ray and me splitting up, and we’ve agreed on that. I try to focus on the good times, because we did have them.’ And, despite her newly single status, she previously put to bed any rumours she was back on the dating scene, revealing, ‘The thought of any of it, especially getting naked, is embarrassing.’
But, it appears Coleen may have finally got her mojo back! She told Loose Women viewers last week, ‘I don’t know why some men have plastic surgery. I think as they get older, they age fantastically and look so handsome – they’re so lucky! Maybe it’s just that I love men. I’m always on the lookout.’
But don’t be fooled into thinking she’s let her guard down completely when it comes to the opposite sex. ‘I get offers on Instagram all the time – and the men can be quite young. But if I was Coleen Smith from up the road – do you really think they’d be interested? It’s only because I’m on TV,’ she confessed. ‘I don’t know where I fit in anymore. Sometimes, when the house is empty and I’m alone, I think to myself is this what it will be like when my children all leave home?’
