Could little lad Freddie save dad Louis?

With yet another heartbreaking loss for Louis Tomlinson, son Freddie may prove a blessing…

‘When I look at baby photos of myself, he looks very similar – it’s real nice’

At just 27, former One Direction member Louis Tomlinson has suffered a great deal of tragedy for one so young.

Having lost his mum, Johannah Deakin, aged only 43, two years ago, Louis has been hit by fresh heartbreak with the sudden death of his 18-year-old sister, Félicité, earlier this month.

The teenager’s sudden passing is being attributed to a suspected heart attack. It’s been reported that she was struggling with her mother’s premature death from leukaemia and was also addicted to exercise. She was found at her fourth-floor apartment in Earl’s Court, west London.

The one person who may offer Louis comfort at this dark time might be his threeyear-old son, Freddie Reign.

Little Freddie was born in January 2016 to his famous dad and personal stylist mum – the singer’s ex, Briana Jungwirth, 27.

At the time, speculation surrounding Freddie (who now lives in LA with Briana) hit the headlines, as the pop star didn’t confirm paternity until months after the birth. Louis now openly beams about the love he has for his only child, saying how much he ‘cherishes the time with him’, and how alike they are. ‘ When I look at baby photos of myself, he looks very similar – it’s real nice,’ he gushes.

Fans on social media have also noticed the similarities between father and son, posting comments like, ‘He is literally a smaller version of Louis,’ and ‘Totally like Louis!’

Presently, the famous singer is said to be understandably ‘devastated and distraught’ over the loss of his younger sibling. He affectionately called Félicité, an aspiring fashion designer, Fizzy. Just days before the tragedy, Louis, a judge on The X Factor, was promoting his latest track, Two Of Us – a touching tribute he’d written to his late mum.

The lyrics read, With memories playing through my head, You’ll never know how much I miss you, The day that they took you, I wish it was me instead.

In a radio interview held ahead of Mother’s Day, Louis explained, ‘I knew I needed to write it to get it off my chest. I want it to feel hopeful for anyone that’s going through something like that.’

It’s hard to imagine how Louis is feeling right now, but, given the bond he shares with his three-year-old minime, there’s no doubt that family will be more important to him than ever…
