Our summery calorie-counted plan will not only help you lose 7lb in seven days, but you’ll feel good about yourself, too! l Aim for the 12.12 – that means eating all your meals within a 12hour window, then not again for another 12 hours. If your evening meal is at 7pm, don’t eat until 7am. l Learn your triggers, suggests Dr Marilyn. ‘Keep a food diary and identify situations that cause you to overeat. Make sure you have a healthy snack nearby.’ Carrot sticks give you a sugar kick with very few calories! Watch emotional triggers, too: fill your life to keep your mind off food. Catch the Sewing Bee bug, learn a new language or take up a sport to keep you motivated. l Break habits like eating while watching TV. They get ingrained, so that you associate food with specific activities and pile on the calories. l Stop comparing yourself, advises life coach Isabella Venour at mindstyle.com. She says, ‘It’s easy to do when we see someone’s gorgeous holiday or a great night out on social media. Instead, focus on what you want to be – make a list of your goals and focus on them one at a time.’ l Sleep your way to achieving your goals, says nutritionist Lily Soutter ( lilysoutternutrition.com).
