JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR

The revival of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s rock opera about Jesus’s final days is packed with catchy numbers and even has an appearance from X Factor’s Matt Cardle as Pontius Pilate (see p70 for more). It follows the Son of God (Robert Tripolino) through his dramatic ordeal, all recounted in powerful musical anthems. But it’s Jesus’s betrayer, Judas played by Ricardo Afonso, who steals the show.
