Anthea Turner
PRESENTER AND BEST COLUMNIST, READ INTO THE WATER BY PAULA HAWKINS
I read The Girl On The Train and loved the film in equal measure, so I picked up Paula’s latest book, Into The Water, at Heathrow Airport as my holiday read, and I loved it. Largely, the main characters are female, all hypnotically connected through time to a lake. Some live, some die and some find peace. It’s not the psychological thriller crime readers lap up, like The Girl On The Train, but it has enough intrigue to keep you sipping wine and turning pages (I dropped mine in a swimming pool and had to dry the pages with loo paper, so I could read the last chapter!).
