Lisa: Out in the cold as divorce rumbles on
It’ll be cold, so cold…
The nation has welcomed I’m ACelebrity… co-host Ant McPartlin back with open arms following his return to the small screen.
But the star’s ex-wife, Lisa Armstrong, won’t have jumped on that bandwagon, as discussions over their divorce settlement rumble on.
The former childhood sweethearts – who divorced on 16 October 2018 after 11 years of marriage – are currently locked into one of the nastiest divorce settlement battles in showbiz, involving a ‘gagging order’ (which Lisa refuses to sign), the family dog, and a whopping £62m fortune.
Lisa must be in a lonely place right now, heading into the festive season.
The celebrity make-up artist, 43, has previously hinted at her feelings by ‘ liking’ various Twitter comments blasting her ex since he struck up a relationship with her former PA, Anne-Marie Corbett.
But she’s not going to take anything lying down, including who gets custody of the former couple’s chocolate Labrador, Hurley. In 2018, Lisa vowed to ‘fight for everything she’s owed’.
The likelihood of a truce between these two before Christmas looks highly unlikely. Even though Ant recently reconciled with his long-estranged father, it seems that Lisa remains out in the cold.
Ant, whose drink-driving incident last March came on the heels of his split from Lisa, has been busy with Britain’s Got Talent, Ant & Dec’s DNA Journey and, most recently, I’m a Celebrity... He looked like the cat that got the cream at his recent 44th birthday celebrations, looking very loved up with Anne-Marie.
As for Lisa, she continues to excel in her career – recently bagging a gong at the RTS (Royal Television Society) Craft & Design Awards – honouring her work on Strictly Come Dancing.
And she clearly has plenty of support in the form of friends, relatives, and her Strictly ‘family’. Indeed, it’s been reported that Lisa’s best pal, Craig Robert Young, wants to whisk her off to Mexico over the festive season, in a bid to find her a new man.
If she heads off for tequilas in the sun, we’re sure funloving Lisa will have a fabulous time. Who knows? This time next year, she could be sharing the festive season with someone special…
