Girls’ night in…and out
1 The Royal Variety Performance TUESDAY, ITV, 7.30PM Kate and William are the Royals rocking up at The London Palladium for the annual entertainment show – so the pressure is on to keep them smiling. Happily, there’s music from Robbie Williams, Emeli Sandé, Lewis Capaldi and Colin Thackery, while comics Frank Skinner and Kerry Godliman are providing the laughs – and there’s a big musical number from the cast of West End hit Mary Poppins. Funny men Romesh Ranganathan and Rob Beckett are the compères. Rob says: ‘I feel a bit uncomfortable calling someone Duchess, it sounds a bit wrong in my accent – the last time I called someone “duchess” was when I worked on the flower market.’
