Do you have a story you’d like to share with our amazing army of best readers? We’re looking for real-life stories from women just like you and your friends – and will pay up to £200 for all those that make it into these pages. Stories can be funny, sad, emotional, inspirational – just like some of the examples on this page. The only rule: they must be true.

Have you been on a diet that changed your life? Have you battled against tough times and come out fighting? Have you found love or happiness against the odds?

If you – or a friend – have a story to share, whatever the subject, do drop us a line, with your contact details, a photo and a brief outline of your story – ideally no more than 100 words.

EAMONN:

The new parlour game that has everyone talking is ‘Who’s got the vax?’

You must have had people in your circle or indeed you yourself asking that if someone isn’t vaccinated, should you mix with them?

I’m not judging people’s right to refuse but I am asking those of you who haven’t taken the jab to think of their social responsibilities to everyone around them. Covid is real and it kills people. Not being vaccinated just gives it another host body to mutate in and spread from. Surely none of us want to be that person?

RUTH:

I know I’m supposed to welcome the end of lockdown with open arms, but are you like me and will miss some aspects of it?

Top of my list is birdsong… apparently it’s been there all the time, it’s just that we couldn’t hear it. I never thought I would be a twitcher. If only this could encourage the science boffins to come up with new ways of dampening the sounds of airplanes, lorries and particularly motorbikes.

On top of that, I’ve enjoyed shopping local simply because parking was easier. It’s not rocket science, Local Authorities!

And finally, I hope we don’t say goodbye to Zoom meetings. So many of us and people we know have to travel huge distances for very short meetings. So here’s to the Zoom boom lasting!
