Royals: The real & the fake
There will be celebrations and possibly tears this Christmas for the Royal Family – the real one, and the Firm on-screen…
Following the success of Princess Kate’s beautiful Carol service at Westminster Abbey, the Royals are preparing for a cosy Christmas together at Sandringham. It will, no doubt, be a welcome break from the dramas that have engulfed the family of late.
The revelations, said to be mistakenly published in a Dutch version of Omid Scobie’s new book, Endgame, that Kate and Charles were the two Royals who had made ‘concerning’ comments about Meghan’s then unborn child Archie and the colour of his skin.

‘I have never cried so much,’ wrote one viewer on social media.

And it would seem Kate and William have some fun in store for Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.
According to Royal commentator Katie Nicholl, the three little royals will have ‘the best of both worlds’ – spending time with both families.
‘The Royals tend to follow tradition when it comes to Christmas,’ she said. ‘I think we will see the Waleses at Sandringham with the King and Queen and the extended Family.’
As for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, it is unlikely they will be joining, given the ongoing rift – they have spent the last three Christmases in their Montecito mansion.
Sadly, for the Wales children especially, it seems doubtful that they will be enjoying the season alongside Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet..
But the Royals, no matter the turbulent times, will do what they do best – put on a brave face and perform their Royal duties with grace...
