RACING

-

The Welsh TT: the hills are alive to the sound of racing bikes.

6. FURNITURE

There are currently various speed limit signs and ones warning about sheep. These will be removed for the races. And there are plenty of great places to watch the racing from.

7.DIXIES

This is the tightest corner on the course, a hairpin leading onto the main straight. Think of it as the Welsh Road Race equivalent of Govenor’s Bridge.

5. LONG LEFT

A long, long left curve which starts to wind its way back up the valley you’ve come down.

4.UPHILL

This leads into a second gear right then back up to fifth running down through the bottom of one valley then uphill into the next valley to a long left curve which will be heading to the main VIP hospitality area.

3.DROP OFF

Then back to third and up to fourth again into the tightest part of the circuit with a long Armco on the right which will have Recticel barriers in front of it – which can’t be taken away because there’s quite a drop off.

2. CRESTS

Then there’s a long left curve that drops down, down to 4th, flick right, and then you can’t see where you’re going because although it’s straight-ish, there are curves over crests.

1. THE START

From startline, up to sixth gear along the first section with a lot of blind crests which you could take flat out, but until you’ve learned the circuit you’ll be nipping your arse cheeks through here.
