Africa Twin Adventure Sports
Classy, capable adventurer now available in big-mile form
Keen for the Africa Twin to stay on-the-ball, Honda have fitted a lighter balance shaft, new exhaust and bigger airbox for 2018. It’s rideby-wire too, with improved traction control, has a lighter battery and tasty stainless steel wheels. There’s also a taller Adventure Sport version as well. It uses a flatter seat profile and a more upright riding position protected by a larger fairing and screen, has heated grips and power socket as standard, and carries an extra 5.4 litres of unleaded – enough, say Honda, for a range of over 310 miles. Suspension has 22mm more travel (and a big bashplate is there ready when you use it all), and it’s approved for fullknobbly tyres. Best of all? That paint, celebrating the XRV650 of 1988.
‘Was hard to fault our 2016 Bike of the Year... but this looks even better.’
