It’s as quick to 60mph as any 200bhp superbike and its overall performance is as good as the 916, but a 916 needed the whole of a two mile runway to get its top speed – the SS gets to the rev limiter in top in less than half a mile. It’s also really good on the brakes. More expensively equipped ZX10 needs 52 metres to stop from 70 mph.
