Lairy: 1968 Royal Enfield 750 Interceptor, £11,700
Enfield’s 1960s parallel twins aren’t as good as the equivalent Triumph or Norton, but the original Interceptors do have their own unique charm and have lost the stodgy looks of the earlier, smaller capacity twins. The long stroke engine is massively torquey but they only really make sense if you’ve developed an Enfield fetish. Spend less on one of the new Interceptors instead.
