THE ROAD OF DEATH, BOLIVIA

One of the few places in South America that stipulates left-hand side driving. We tackle the Road of Death in the afternoon, huge lush drops dogging every one of the 40 miles we ride. To add to the challenge heavy showers wash away part of the surface. Then we ride back, 40 miles in reverse, shadows inching their way across the route. Road of Death is no exaggeration.
