LOW SPEED CLICKING

-

The auto decompressor on the camshaft can make a clicky noise when the engine speed’s quite low. It’s similar in design to a weighted cam, which moves out of the way under pressure and returns with a spring. The sound of the spring engaging after returning makes the clicky noise. It’s completely normal, is double-checked at service time, and a replacement return spring costs very little.
