ROCKER ISSUES
The pivot bearing on the intake and exhaust valve rocker can collapse, causing a rattle at the top of the engine. The bearing pin wears with use, allowing the bearing to rock from side-to-side. If the bike continues to be ridden, the pin can snap completely and throw shards through the engine. A seized engine is worst case scenario, but there’s time to catch the issue before problems arise. It’s easy to replace the two rockers at service time.
