CORROSION
Check the front of the engine for corrosion. In bad weather water, salt and grit is flung up from the front wheel and peppers bolt heads and casings. Be even more curious if the bike’s fitted with an aftermarket belly pan, as this can accentuate the problem. Protect the area with ACF50 or Scottoiler FS 365 if you’re riding one through winter. The ACF is heavy duty and needs a brush or cloth to apply properly, whereas the FS 365 sprays into a mist.
