Metzeler’s Tourance Next is dual-purpose but road-biased – think modern sport-touring rubber with a deep tread pattern, rather than the blockiness of the older non-next version of the Tourance. It’s a good choice, with –ne feel, a steadfast nature in the wet, and the grip to wear away the Urban’s undercarriage on a sunny trackday. We wouldn’t go down the full-knobbly route – it might look trendy, but you’ll bugger-up the ride and steering.
