At 106 West we make our motorcycle tours as convenient as possible. Guests only have to book their airline tickets to Denver, Colorado and let 106 West take care of the rest. Motorcycle, hotels, insurance and airport pick-up are all included in the tour price, plus of course the friendly, expert guide service 106 West is known for!
When to go?
Due to the high elevation of Colorado and Utah the riding season is short. Riding season begins in early June and lasts through mid-october. The tour dates at 106 West reflect the best times for riding Colorado and Utah.
The best road on the tour and why?
From twisty paved mountain passes such as the famous Million Dollar Highway to off tarmac roads such as the Alpine Scenic Byway the tours at 106 West are sure to provide amazing riding. One of the lesser known but possibly best roads on the tour is the Burr Trail. This obscure but well maintained dirt road spirals upward thru amazing rock formations while cutting into the San Rafael Swell before becoming a 37-mile twisty paved tarmac road winding thru amazing red rock canyons.
The best photo opportunity of the tour and why?
From the Delicate Arch, Monument Valley or fields of alpine wildflowers the tours at 106 West will bring out your inner photographer.
Things to do off the bike…
At 106 West we want our guests to be able to truly explore the region. Therefore we provide ample opportunity to get off the bike and enjoy the many non-riding activities available. Depending on the tour this may include a day hiking in Arches National Park, hiking a slot canyon, strolling about a historic mining town, hiking to a waterfall, or even visiting the famous Native American cliff dwellings. As always 106 West is happy to accommodate any special requests our guests may have.
What’s the nightlife like?
Nightlife in this part of the world is sparse. Many of the towns close up by 9pm or only have one or two restaurants.
What to eat and drink?
Many of the towns in Colorado and a few in Utah have their own brew pubs where they make their own beer. These brew pubs typically have a wide range of foods. More upscale dining is always available in the mountain towns in Colorado.

The locals in the Colorado Mountain towns are outgoing and friendly.

Wi-fi is available in all of the hotels we stay at on our tours. In addition, many of the coffee shops and cafes have Wi-fi.
