Pre-unit construction models have three oils to check and change: engine, gearbox and primary. Engine oil is 20W50 and should be changed once a year or every 2500 miles. Check transmission oil using the level plug on the side of the gearbox after a 20-mile ride. Top up primary oil with 10W ATF. You can check its level with the primary chain case’s level plug. Make sure condensation doesn’t build up in the breather pipes. Find them connected to the underseat catch tank and blow them out.
