ENGINE FINISH

Royal Enfield don’t use engine lacquer and unlike early Japanese bikes the finish is bare alloy. We call them oily rag bikes. To keep them in good nick use a rag to polish wheel rims and engine covers. They do need protecting in the winter, though. Cover in anti-corrosion spray such as ACF50. Don’t pressure wash the bike come spring because water ingress can rust steering head and wheel bearings.
