The best kind of therapy

BIKE (UK) - - LETTERS - John Hale, email

I’ve ridden motorcycles for over 40 years and must have saved the NHS a fortune. I, like many others, have suffered from stress and depression from work problems, financial issues etc and I know I would have been on some form of medication at times if it were not for biking. When things all get too much I go for a ride. Sometimes it’s an hour or two and others it’s for a few weeks. When I return I always feel better equipped and stronger to deal with things. No need for a trip to the doc for a box of happy pills.

The drugs don’t work, but riding does
