BIKE (UK)

Don’t get rusty in the first place

-

For next year, keep things ticking over during winter. Driving your car with your biker’s head on is one way to do it. By that I mean instead of just cruising along like the rest of the herd with their radios up too loud and phones ringing, instead monitor the car in front’s bend assessment. Ask yourself are they timing their acceleration and braking well? Is yours better? Driving like a rider will help keep your brain bike-sharp. Spending £400 on a winter bike – something like an old CG125 would be perfect – is also a good idea too. Riding a bike such as this will keep your eye in during the winter months which, let’s face it, aren’t always about snow, gales and driving rain. And if you decide to get an off-road bike instead it will actually improve your skills come springtime.
