Inside leg

Your test riders often refer to seat height, for example the BMW F850 GS test in the June issue which relates this to their own dimensions – in this case 5ft 10in feet flat on the ground. Seat height is important when considering a purchase but it would be more helpful to know the rider’s inside leg

measurement. I too am 5ft 10in, however, being of the stumpy legged persuasion my inseam barely measures 29in. Thus I am no wiser about the relevance of seat height. Reg Pengelly, email
