2003 Tuono RSV Fighter

Gen 1 Tuono rushed to production after the Limited’s success. Engine, suspension, brakes and frame are all 2002 RSV Mille. A steering damper counters slapping on hard accelerati­on. 2003 frames are light bronze. 998cc – 181kg dry – 115bhp – £2300-£3800

2003 Tuono 1000 Racing

300-bike limited edition to support onemake European race series. The bike comes with full bodywork kit and all race entries. Yellow numberboar­d, white wheels. 2004 bikes sold without the race kit. 998cc – 181kg dry – 115bhp – £6000 9000

2005 Tuono 1000 Factory

Gen 1 Tuono built as a limited run with the more powerful engine from the RSV Mille R. White numberboar­ds, blue OZ wheels, and Öhlins kit: a radial-type fork, monoshock and steering damper. Four-pot Brembos. 998cc – 177kg wet – 126bhp – £3500-£7000

2005 Tuono 1000R

The Rsv1000r-based Gen 2 Tuono has single spark heads, bigger valves, different bodywork, Showa suspension. Tweaks to velocity stacks and engine maps. Rsv-style bodywork update in 2006. 998cc – 181kg wet – 126bhp – £2500-£5500

2005 Tuono 1000R Factory

Fully-adjustable Öhlins front and rear, blue or gold anodised forged wheels depending on model year. Carbonfibr­e parts help drop weight by 4kg over the R. Fuel tank carries the Aprilia ‘lion head’ motif. 998cc –177kg wet – 126bhp – £4000-£8000
