Zin have no UK distributor which makes this pricey Canadian kit a punt. So why buy? Made from 14oz denim with Dyneema (apparently the world’s strongest fibre) and an abrasion lining for the seat and front of legs. These jeans are tough but supple and have vents in the knees and back pockets. There’s also hip armour pockets and the knee armour slips into outer pockets, which makes the armour easy to remove. I like the style and they’re as much a fashion item as they are bike kit. But that doesn’t mean protection is compromised.
