Best Harley ever?

TWO PATHS SEEM to be converging. As Harley continue to improve their build quality, suspension and engines, motorcycle buyers are increasingly interested in charismatic bikes rather than crazy-fast ones. And at the intersection of these paths is Harley’s new Softail range; nine thudding, handsome brutes that should be just what thousands of us want to tool about on Sunday afternoons and then carry us into work if the weather looks half decent. The Sport Glide is the most versatile of the nine – without its panniers and screen it looks like the hip cousin of the Terminator’s Fat Boy, and with them it makes a decent commuter and tourer. But doubts still remain… Exactly how slow are they? Do they still break down all the time? Will bits vibrate off? Time to ride a Harley-davidson Sport Glide for 3500 miles to find out.
