Time to plan for September
7 9 September Goodwood Revival, Chichester, W. Sussex
Not been before? Book tickets to the best fancy dress party in the world before they sell out. Plus, this is one of the few events that works for non-motorcycling partners. Pricey, but worth it. Only one bike race per day, so be somewhere good to watch it. Getting to Lavant corner is worth the effort. goodwood.com
14 16 September Bol d’or, Le Castellet, France
The main race starts 3pm Saturday 15th and finishes 24 hours later. If you’ve not seen it then you need to. Almost equally importantly the classic endurance race, two hours on Friday evening, two hours on Saturday morning, will feature the 2015 race winning Team Bike Honda RC30, and Peter Boast and Guy Martin’s Team Lincolnshire Suzuki GSXR750. It’ll be a good do. boldor.com
23 30 September Piston Rally, Santander, Spain
festival Fantastic of classic seven bikes day featuring brilliant routes, the 5000 Curves challenge and more. Entrants come from all over Europe, but a lot of Brits are attracted by the special deals for the ferry that goes from the UK direct to the rally base at Santander. A great end to the riding season. mcpiston.com
