SPEEDOMETER (OLD STYLE)
These are Indian-made speedos to give the look of the old Smiths Chronometric speedos fitted to a number of British bikes from the 1950s and 1960s. There are various different styles, in 80mm (most bikes) and 60mm diameters, and are therefore replacements for most British bikes. They have a single illumination provision and all 80mm versions can be platform or cowl-mounted, although they are a little deeper than the original Smiths instruments. The speedo cable thread is larger than the original and therefore a replacement speedo cable is also required. We stock a range of these which can be found on our website or in our catalogue. These can also be fitted to Indian Bullets and can re-use the original cable, but do not have the small warning lights. We have sourced these as premium quality speedos and each is tested by ourselves for accuracy for running a 19” wheel with a 2:1 speedo gearbox.
