Life is good
75 years of age I’ve bought a ten year old Yamaha FZ6 S2 that’s been loved and done only 3000 miles. It is like new. No electronics package so it’s reasonably simple, it’s sporty but comfortable, great handling, good brakes and for me lots of power. I found some real gems that have seen more polish than miles so on a budget it’s not too late for any older rider to buy a great bike. And at 75 I’ve fallen in love all over again. I regularly go out and ride 100 miles or more without knowing it. I’m still competitive and love the buzz of sheer power when I want it and feel lucky I’m fit and mentally alert to be able to use it. So for me a happy ending – a retirement that I could never ever have dreamed about. Chris Green, email
