Bike of the Year

Just read Bike of the Year (Bike, October) and had to laugh that someone has designed a bike specifically for me. And I quote: ‘The DCT Honda appears to be aimed at tall, strong people who for one reason have got a fused left ankle’. Yep, 6ft, reasonably strong for a 62 year old and the reason for the fused left ankle? My stint with the SAS in the ’70s. As it happens, my everyday ride for the last five years has been a BMW HP4 with a pushbutton gear change. Rob Lewis, email
