ON THE HIGH PLAINS

Leaving Cotahuasi at 6am because the road was scheduled to close at 7am for repair work. Not long after we were at 4500m and it was freezing cold. The puddles on the road were ice and our heated grips were on high in an attempt to keep our fingers warm. But who thinks about the cold when the landscape is so spectacular and you might never visit again, in your life?
