WITH ITS CORINTHIAN columned entrance and ornate ceilings, Cheltenham Town Hall is not the obvious choice for a bike show. However… The early autumn Festival of Bikes, re-christened the Oily Rag Festival, is now established as the last big UK custom event of the year. The ‘oily rag’ appendage was a bit of a misnomer as I could see only one machine with a drip tray. Also noticeable was a high representation of Britishbased customs, and it was encouraging to see so many builds that hadn’t been at Tobacco Dock.
